The reserve forest is around 160 KMs from Bangalore. Locals in Madhugiri too are not very much aware of this place. It is better to be well prepared with sufficient water and eatables before entering this reserve area. One will hardly get to see people...More

This is must visit place to see blackbucks as it is rather than in zoo. Reach Kodigenahalli and ask for direction, Just ask for way to "forest" or way to "Mydanahalli forest", if you use full formal name locals may confuse(happened to me actually:) )....More

Good for a day visit. Reach early as possible. If you are approaching from Madhugiri, pack food there. Carry enough water as it can get hot. Be adventurous and explore the dirt roads going through the sanctuary.

Started around 5 o clock from Bangalore and reached the forest office by 8.30. We were missguided by one of the villager so it took us another 30 mins. Otherwise its about 3 hours journey from Bangalore. One can follow google maps to reach here...More

It’s a hard mud road...should be ok. You are not allowed to go off road... Also, don’t follow google maps on the last mile...
