A must visit attraction in Bali! See chocolate being made from bean to bar at Pod Chocolate Factory & Cafe. All from locally grown cocoa pods, Pod Chocolate supports local farmers to grow organic while producing incredible chocolate. The cafe is perfect for adults and kids too, and guess what? It's located at Bali Elephant Camp, so you'll see elephants roaming in beautiful surroundings! Lunch, drinks (including hot and iced chocolate) and homemade ice-cream are available in the cafe. The Pod Chocolate Tour starts with an amazing chocolate ‘shot’ welcome drink, after which you’ll be taken through each step of the chocolate making process from the cacao tree to raw cacao, fermenting and roasting of the beans and the final transformation into delicious Pod Chocolate. You’ll taste raw cacao, roasted beans and our handmade Bali chocolates before making your own chocolate elephants to take home. Pod is a short drive north of the Sangeh Monkey Forest, about 30min from Ubud, just over an hour from Sanur/ Seminyak/ Kuta and about 1.5hrs from Jimbaran/ Nusa Dua. Find us on Google Maps (pod chocolate bali) and checkout our website, Facebook and Instagram #podchocolate. You can book with us in advance or use your own car/ driver. The 'telephone number' is our reservations number open until 10pm. The 'fax number' is a direct line to our Factory & Cafe in case you need help with directions! *UPDATE: Pod Chocolate also have a Shop & Cafe on Sunset Road Kuta! There is no chocolate production here but an extensive lunch and DESSERT menu. It's in between Rip Curl and Carrefour on Sunset Road. **Please email from wholesale enquiries (hotels, restaurants) as Pod also produces couverture chocolate in kg block and chocolate drops for patisserie, baking & chocolatiers and a range of products for hotels, amenities & mini-bars!

Don't waste your time & money. I originally came with a lot of excitement to see how chocolate was made. I arrived and the staff told me that it would be 250 for an hour and half tour and 'make your own chocolate'. We drove...More

Totally felt dissapointed.... its just a rip-off attraction. Paid 95k for actually nothing. They said it includes insurance because they have elephants roaming inside. Wtf??!! We decide to go because we want to see the chocolate making process. You have to pay another 250k to...More

Wild animals do not act like the trained animals at this "attraction" to visit is unethical and should not be done if you value an animal life.

As a lover of chocolate I couldn’t not take time out to check out the Pod Chocolate Factory while at the Elephant Camp. Being able to sample the products should have made it easy to select a few to purchase but no so as between...More

The staff were very quiet and not informative, the chocolate is lovely and there is a great variety but you need to pay extra to take the guided tour. And the elephant experience before hand is $125 Australian which includes the chocolate tasting and lunch

I recommend calling ahead as we drove out to the Chocolate factory and the honey bear was in a bad mood. If he’s in a bad mood, he receives no visitors.

We went to this place driven by chocolate. No need to explain why, however to our dissapointment we found that this place also has elephant rides. Why do people choose to promote this type of attraction when there is countless information on how cruel and...More
