I don't know why somebody reviewed this in 2016 when this was destroyed in 2013 :( Should you climb Kanhuraw hill, you will still see what's left of the statue. It is located in the DILG regional compound but, really it's a waste of time because most of it are now in smithereens.

What makes this pilgrim sight unique from others with the typical statue of a Saint is that it is actually inspired by the map of Leyte. If you'd look closely, you'll see the shape of the province of Leyte in the statue itself with the narrowing part of Leyte as the waist. Nowadays, I can say that it's not a popular pilgrim sight here in Tacloban since it's located in somewhat a hidden part of the city, but you'd be surely marveled if you see this one.
