I visited Ormoc in April 2022 and Lake Danao National Park was among my places to visit. The park was off road and just one of those nature park. not much to expect....but still happy to see it with my own eyes.

Dropped by one late afternoon during our stay in Ormoc. Since there were no other visitors when we arrived the place was super quiet, the water in the lake was so still it looked like glass. Fog starts to embrace the mountains around the lake in the afternoon giving you a coo, serene feeling.

Unplanned Trip to Lake Danao

Surely everyone had brought something. You don't need anything for trips like this which is unplanned. As long as you have your BEST COMPANY - BEST BARKADA with you, no one can ever forgot those memories you had with them. Happy kids we had that time.

We were able to forget school stuffs for a moment. Indeed, Me and the company enjoyed it a lot! Danke!

Ps: To more unexpected and uplanned trips with you, Auntsy and Uncle!

perfect hideaway for relaxation

A perfect hideaway for relaxation. We love the serenity of the place, the people there were very friendly and courteous and the food was consistently delicious. Just the place I exactly need. Total peace of mind can be truly achieved here.With its very light atmosphere that will also lighten up the mood and eases the stress away.

very nice day on the lake

A very nice day on the lake and our party had a good time. The shoreline support and CR's could have been much better and organized. Need to build some new ones
(especially for the small kids)

cool area away from the heat you can hire a bamboo cottage to cross the lake by rope pull

nice bit of country side nice cool very deep lake that no have every dived to the bottom so no one know how deep it is not much transport going back to ormoc so suggest hiring your trike for round trip and getting him to wait 2 or 3 hours there a store there you can buy soft drinks or light snacks

Its one place you'll be surprised on... the cottages and kayak were just a great add on to the already nice place. The rental rates are very reasonable 150Php each for an hour.

The people are friendly and very attentive. I will definitely be visiting again.

Shame that it was just hit by a typhoon

Visited Lake Danao in Dec 2017, however they had just been hit by two typhoons in a matter of weeks, we decided to still go as we wanted to support the locals. You can go kayaking on the lake for a extra charge. Just remember to bring Everything as there is no food or drink available there. Lovely spot for a picnic on the lake. Please ensure you take your rubbish etc with you too!!!
