On a clear day you can see for miles and are rewarded wth breathtaking views in all directions.
I thought it was going to be good but did not appreciate how outstanding it was going to be.
I was looking for somewhere to stop and make a phone call and found the biggest artwork in Yorkshire. Although it has been there for 10 years I did not find it in local tourist guides there is little publicity on the web.
Very easy to sail past the car park and a bit larger signage would be appreciated. A not-too-taxing 500 yard climb up a good gravel path and you are into the 'installation.' I'm not an arty person, so I've no idea of the message behind...More
A visit to Coldstones is well worth it. The views of the surrounding Dales is pretty amazing. The day we visited was very clear and we could see landmarks over 50km away. The working quarry next to this feature is pretty spectacular to see. Well...More
