High, very high above the small town of Pateley Bridge is a view over the world. A good clear day allows you to see 30/40 miles and beyond. With markers around the perimeter wall you are guided to what is beyond the horizon. Hong Kong...More

This is a great place to visit. On a clear day you can see for miles and are rewarded wth breathtaking views in all directions. I thought it was going to be good but did not appreciate how outstanding it was going to be.

I was looking for somewhere to stop and make a phone call and found the biggest artwork in Yorkshire. Although it has been there for 10 years I did not find it in local tourist guides there is little publicity on the web. To get...More

Very easy to sail past the car park and a bit larger signage would be appreciated. A not-too-taxing 500 yard climb up a good gravel path and you are into the 'installation.' I'm not an arty person, so I've no idea of the message behind...More

A visit to Coldstones is well worth it. The views of the surrounding Dales is pretty amazing. The day we visited was very clear and we could see landmarks over 50km away. The working quarry next to this feature is pretty spectacular to see. Well...More

The car park is free - but it's easy to zoom right by it. The sculpture is 600m away at the top of the hill up a stony path. It's worth seeing though as you have great views up there and its interesting to read...More

An open cast mine which can be viewed from the imaginatively built castle like viewing platform. Its quite an exposed spot and you have a 10 minute uphill walk to climb from the car park. Take a jacket on the climb as the wind came...More

Spectacular 360 degree views of the Yorkshire Dales. This is a great place to pop into if you’re travelling between Pateley Bridge and Grassington. The ‘art installation’ consists of two spiral viewing towers, one of which has distances to major cities and places of interest...More

If in the area a must see, at least to satisfy curiosity. After leaving the car park a steady incline over partially rough track brings you to a giant cycle sculpture which you must not climb. As if. The spiralling structure gives splendid views across...More

Visited last week unfortunately 60+ mph winds so did not stay long spectacular views all round. The seating arrangement just above the car alcove sheltered us from the winds

Yes, dogs are allowed, but I would keep them on a lead, otherwise they could disappear over into the quarry! There are also sheep around in the fields on the way up there.
