Great place to visit in Flores, one of my favourite places in Indonesia. The lakes are really worth seeing and although 2 of them were blue and 1 green they were still impressive. And the walk there is really easy and nice. A must see!

I have never seen a place like this before. The stories and significance of this place to the locals makes it extra special.

This morning we visited the three lakes arounr 10 'o clock. To see sunrise is ok, but the lake get its color around 09.30. Good maintained path and everywhere shops to buy cold or hot drinks.

Exotic view, a stunning sunrise with three colour lake. The trekking was made easier with stairs to the spotting view. We were lucky that sky was clear of fog, that the scenic panorama could be observed clearly.

my best experience, but locals pay 5000 and foreigners 150000, sundays 225000! 3 lakes in one big crater, fantastic sunrise!

We walked up from the car park (it’s about a 20 min walk, nothing too arduous, much of it on a stone path) for sunrise only to be greeted by thick fog & rain. Waited a few hours & we’re finally treated to some wonderful...More

In my opinion sunset and sunrise are as beautiful, however the chance of clouds at the end of the day is much bigger than in the morning and clouds might ruin your view. The temperature up there is fine, but if you go early... More
