A peaceful place to do a lot of things, walking, running, swimming, camping, cycling, kayaking, or just leisure sitting watching Coromandel Peninsula at the opposite side of Firth of Thames. Was staying at Ray's Rest and decided to have breakfast here. Very nice! A good number of campers here, but still very quiet. Despite not being much of a swimmer, this was a very good place to splash in the waves. There is a tap...More

Visited on a hot sunny Boxing Day. Nice swimming beach, trees for shade. It was busy, but not crowded like Maraetai or closer to Akld. Nice drive out there too.
