This place looks like a British cottage village with almost exclusively straw roofs homes that are said to last longer than any hard roof. This straw is a local product coming from the neighbor marshes. Today people would say that the carbon print is very low, here all is green.

Lovely village rebuilt in the original style. Beatifully maintained cottages, sheep grazing, very idyllic. Good start for hiking tours. Don't miss the "auberge" for a drink or some tasty food.

Thatched roofs, artisan shops, set in a quaint easily accessible village a bit out of the way but with easy parking once you find it. Nice nature walk around a pond after visiting all the buildings, do visit if in the area.

Nice lace to spend an afternoon and walk around, have a crepe or just to picnic. There ar boat tours of th marshes and you can view the lovely catch roofed homes. There is also a really nice range of traditional shops for buying gifts or postcards. We have visited a number of times and always enjoy this old village atmosphere…
