It is definitely worth visiting. The entrance is free, you will have wonderful views of the coast and the city. It can be entered both on foot and by bicycle, suitable for walks, including with small children.

Such a lovely place to walk. By 7.45pm pretty much the whole pathway was shaded and the cooling sea breeze was fantastic. I walked from Altea town, which was probably a bit over-kill, but doable. There were people of all ages on the route and it’s really pretty. Will definitely return with the family for another visit.

Flat walk over just over 2 km from the free car park to the L’Albir lighthouse with great views on the way and also at the lighthouse itself. Toilets at the start of the walk if you need them. Shaded area near the car park if you take a picnic. Lovely morning or late evening stroll opportunity.

This is one of the places where you can go by yourself, with family or with friends and you will never regret it.
This is also one of the places where you can go million times and you will never regret it.
Tip1: The best time to do it alone is early at the morning as exercise or for inspiration start.
Tip3: If it's windy in Albira be prepared for really strong wind on the cliffs!

The world changes but these views remain stunning, great walks, some very rugged off the main pathway.

To be selfish and to preserve the tranquility of this fantastic walking experience it should not be shared. But wow it must be one of my favorite places for breathtaking views, cool shaded walkways, sheltered by the pines, and quietness against the rustle of the trees when the breeze picks up. Perfect for a morning run, ideal for a romantic picnic and spiritual for anyone who needs timeout to think.

Do the lighthouse walk very often, stunning views, easy walking ground, lots of information on your travels, but please don’t tell everyone it will get to busy

Best way to get there from old town Benidorm without renting a vehicle?

Taxi is around €8, bus to Albir around €1.50 or walk. Walk is beautiful, but not easily marked out once you go past the benedo cross. It’s also a fairly strenuous walk so not suitable for young children.

How far would it be if my son wanted to see or swim with dolphins

No dolphins here. As above see Benidorm for excursions.
