Golf
Aug 2021 • Friends
Played late afternoon so paid twilight rate. Course in excellent condition, weather was poor, raining for the 18 holes.

Despite the weather enjoyed the layout of the course, last 6 holes on the short side but would think they would be challenging in the wind.

Would return to play in better weather

NC500 Dinner
Jul 2021 • Couples
We were staying at Fortrose Campsite and looking for somewhere good for our last evening of our NC500 road trip. We booked the Chanterelle restuarant at the Fortrose Golf Club. We had a great night. The views were magnificent, the clubhouse overlooks the Moray Firth, the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us and the meals were lovely. I would strongly recommend it as a great night out.

Dissapointed!
May 2021 • Couples
Booked to eat in the restaurant for our first meal out since lockdown, only roast beef available even though it was advertised Roasts! and as at the moment you cannot have a drink inside people where sitting outside all done up in hats and gloves as it was cold, so people kept coming into the bar to buy drinks making it very draughty! Roast beef was overdone with what tasted like frozen potatoes! Fish and chips was very nice. Great View. Friendly staff.

Excellent high tea
Oct 2020 • Couples
I don’t play golf but visited the club house restaurant this evening for a high tea having pre-booked.
We sat with a beautiful view overlooking the shore and golf course. The restaurant is well run with all safety requirements in place.
We ordered the high tea which is excellent value at under £13 and had two whopping main courses followed by a nicely presented platter of cakes/bakes. All washed down with a pot of tea.
Staff were friendly and relaxed and we really enjoyed our meal.
No hesitation in recommending.

Spectacular
Sep 2020 • Friends
Played open this month, four of us travelled up from Edinburgh and all agreed this course is STUNNING. Pro shop excellent and a warm welcome as soon as entered clubhouse. Great advice from pro prior to the round explaining the course layout.
The course is absolutely fantastic, testing all abilities. Greens in perfect condition, just everything was as it should be. As we were unable to play a four ball in the competition (although the 2 guys paired with us Chris and Jonathan were absolute gems) the pro allowed us to go back out as a four all for a second round. It was that good!!!!!
Great views, fantastic course and a truly memorable round. We will be back for sure ⛳🏌️‍♀️

Great meal, great views
Dec 2019
Our first return to the restaurant now under new management. Previously the vegetables were not fresh and the meal disappointing. Now the food was excellent, the vegetables freshly cooked. The cheesecake was a great hit, the best the family had tasted, not synthetic as is often the case. This was a Christmas family lunch and would have got 5 stars but there could have been a little more heating in the dining area.

Shocking
Oct 2019
Having been staying in someones garden shed round the corner from here and spending a few hours freezing our bits off trying to see Dolphins. What an absolute breath of fresh air this was. We called in as non members and had a great welcome from the staff. The layout of the club is great with massive windows and a telescope so you can see the Dolphins from the warm with several pints and drams. I was in heaven. As stated the staff and service were excellent the food plentifull and very very tastey. we had both lunch and dinner here and we were so happy we called in. Without a doubt I would be back in this lovely club house and bar at the drop of a hat! I hope to call in again weather permitting ( my mouths watering at the prospect )

Another return visit
Oct 2019
The Clubhouse is open to the public, and well worth visiting for it's views. During the winter months coffee and drinks are served, whilst in the season a full menu is available, booking advised. Reasonable prices and parking on site.
