Rakuju-en Garden is very pleasant, although it could use more upkeep. Listed in "Hidden Gardens of Japan" THE photo essay and reference for finding unspoiled gardens in Japan minus the tour bus mobs available on Amazon US and Amazon Japan

We enjoyed the quiet park located just opposite the Mishima Railway station. It had a fine range of vegetation, museum, zoo, fun mirrors, snack bar,. There was an antique steam engine and pony rides for the kids

Loved walking in this park amongst big old trees. Quite a big pond although this season waters low. Interesting rock formations. Wooden house in park, old imperial holiday house. Has mini zoo.. some interesting food stalls, huge chrysanthemums!
