Udaygiri caves are a groups of historical caves located around 40 minutes drive from Sanchi. Though does not seems to be heavily visited by tourist, worth the trip if time permits. Tourism board has made some really nice drawings at the site.

Beautiful mythological Hindu God sculptures in Udaygiri Caves near Sanchi. These are 1000 to 2000 years old of different Hindu god's sculptures stating various stories about God Vishnu, Shankara etc. If you will see all these, you will realize how much old Hindu Religion is.

The sculptures on the walls are in either good condition or invisible. The detailing is obscured by weather and age, but there is a certain atmosphere here that is undeniable and spiritual.
