About
Lizzy opened the award winning farm shop in her little larder in 2002. The business has steadily grown and her new shop at Blackberry Farm is surrounded by farmland and has stunning views of Dartmoor. We also conduct farm tours. Lizzy is passionate about food and together with Gillian they cook much of the delicious fayre served in the tearoom and sold in the shop.

Great discovery
Sep 2021
Wow, what a delightfully delicious place! We visited the farm shop and cafe on the last day of our holiday in Devon.
A fantastic selection of local food stuffs and home made pies, cakes etc.
We had a lovely lunch( the best of our week ) I had a tasty sausage roll and my wife had a ham salad,
We asked the lady serving if we could buy a couple of scones, some cream and jam to enable us to make our own cream tea, she was only too willing to assist us and made the scones whilst we were having lunch, How nice is that?

Disappointing
Aug 2021 • Family
As a local person and not having been out to eat for ages Blackberry Farm was on our list of definates to visit.
I appreciate it was raining and right at the end of lunchtime but my daughter and i were disappointed with our visit.
We arrived and followed the one way system, there was no one to greet us and we were unsure of the procedure so sat at a table and looked at the menu, after choosing a panini each a milkshake and a pot of tea we waited for a member of staff to take our order and after 10 mins a very pleasant older lady came and took the order, it was about 2.10pm and looking around the room noticed that two other tables had not had their food yet and so we waited.
It was nearly 40 mins later when our food arrived and brought to us by a young girl who didn't say anything other than the plate is hot. The food was very good but considering there were 4 ladies waitressing the food wasnt coming out very quickly and people seemed disappointed.
The waitresses were not over friendly and there was no atmosphere, not even the larger girl who took our payment. It was not clear to many people where or how to pay and just seemed to have lost its charm from our last visit.

Nice little spot for a stop
Jul 2021 • Family
I have visited here quite some time ago, but this time came with my young family for some lunch and stop whilst we waited for our accomodation to be ready. The food was nice and the staff were lovely too. The cakes and pastries looked amazing. The sausage rolls were huge and tasty. My kids probably could have shared one. The children enjoyed looking for the guinea pigs, rabbits and other animals. They also enjoyed playing with the toy horse jumps, hobby horses and Duplo. They especially love sitting on the big blue tractor.

Stem ginger scones to die for
Jul 2021
Popped in here today for an impromptu cream tea with a friend. Sat in the garden enjoying the sunshine and glorious views but the highlight was the stem ginger scone with homemade rhubarb and ginger jam.

Never had one before but utterly delicious, bought some of the homemade jam in the shop and am now busy researching recipes for stem ginger scones so I can try and replicate this tea time delight.

Great place for families and kids of all ages.

Great little find
Jun 2021 • Couples
We did two stops here. Great little cafe with additional ample outside seating. Nice menu, local produce, great shop with some artisan stuff, gift ideas as well as fruit & veg. Really enjoyed it. The picture here shows a small English breakfast - oh, and the farm duck that waddled inside for a nosey 🤣
