If I may make a suggestion: if you are looking for an apartment rather than hotel rooms, try "Mariners' Apartments". The landlords are British, extremely helpful and generous, the rooms are kept spotlessly clean and the house is located less than 100 yards from the beach with several restaurants in the vicinity. If I sound suspiciously positive about the place, the reason for enthusiasm is: I always choose that house when I'm in Praia da Luz, which is three times a year.
