This is a tour of the Sauza Tequila factory. It was a very interesting look at Tequila production. Sauza's style is not to roast the agave before distilling, they thereby emphasize the taste of the agave. Sauza is now owned by Suntory Beam and its...More

We took part in a tour of the agave fields which then moved on to the distillery and some tequila tasting. For MXN200 each the tour offered good value and it was fascinating to see the distillery machinery in operation up close!

The Casa is a very quaint property and has excellent architecture and plan. I am sure this place is great for events. The gift shop is very nice too. The extra Anjeno is $30 cheaper here than duty free.

Our tour guide, Maria Candelaria (Candi) was delightful. She explained everything very well in English and provided interesting insights into Mexican culture, family, and customs. She taught us new Spanish words - Chiagnon (sp?)....means awesome....Dellghtful day in this clean, kind, mountain town.

There is a reasonably nice garden area in the center of the reception building. Ask them to send you pictures.
