Booked the museum tour for a group of 4 which included my 95 year old Mum. They all raved about it and how wonderful it was - they spent about 2 hours there but could easily have stayed longer. One of the group also did the Dakota aircraft tour and loved it.

An amazing collection of aviation history. Easily accessible via Bull Creek Train Station and reasonably priced. The eclectic collection shows how valuable aviation has been to Australia's defence and to domestic transport. The volunteer staff were extremely knowledgeable, approachable and helpful.
One of the best museums to go and see with the family within Australia!!

Along with 21 Veterans of North Beach RSL it was an absolute privilege to tour the RAAFA Aviation Heritage Museum where the staff and volunteer guides made us extremely welcome. It contains a vast collection of aviation memorabilia from the early days of flight along with an impressive display of military aircraft. Thank you, David Spicer, for looking after the ladies and giving us a tour of the Macchi Jet, DC3 & Lancaster. Your knowledge had a very powerful effect on us of how perilous it was for the brave men who flew on these missions. This is an outstanding museum with historical significance for us all. Many thanks for a memorable visit and we look forward to returning in the future.

My wife and I stopped at this museum after seeing it on the Internet. As a retired US Air Force officer, I’m always interested in these types of places. My wife and I live near Oshkosh Wisconsin, home of the big Oshkosh airshow known as EAA AirVenture. Anyway, the museum is well laid out with many aircraft and hundreds if not thousands of artifacts. I would highly recommend this.

So many fantastic displays. We really enjoyed the whole museum experience. There were also some lovely gentlemen that volunteer their time, who gave us more information about certain exhibits. The Lancaster bomber was amazing to see in real life.

This museum is outstanding. It is well laid out and the volunteers are knowledgeable and happy to share stories about the individual aircraft. The collection is well looked after and you can tell a lot of love and pride goes into making the museum as good as it is. If you are a history buff and are in WA do not miss this.

Went to the museum today and was blown away by the quality of the exhibits.
Two of us went on the Lascaster tour.
Our guide was Paul and he enthusiastically told/showed us everything related to the Lancaster that they have on show - from history to operation to a very detailed look inside.
We were able to experience sitting in the rear gunners turret as well as all the other operational stations.
Huge thank you to Paul for making this such a wonderful experience.
After the tour I had the Bomber Command Virtual Experience.
This was so much more than I expected and gave a very real impression of what it was like to have been there.
All the staff we encountered went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience.
An excellent day out - highly recommended.

What a fantastic museum. We went for the personalised Lancaster tour. What an amazing experience being able to go inside and get some idea of what it was like for our father. The cramped conditions where they would have spent many hours doing their best fighting for the crown and country. Many of them being under age when they enlisted.
This was a maximum of two people tour We were greeted by warm friendly gentlemen, who were all extremely informative and knowledgeable. We heard all about the history of the the Lancaster and were lucky to be accompanied by an ammunition’s expert Paul.
After the tour which was more than 2 hours we had the VR Experience flying from the UK to Germany. Brilliant. David was extremely helpful and escorted us to the Dakota, what an aircraft. Hard to believe they had a hostess on these.
There is so much to see in this museum we didn’t have time to look at all the aircraft’s and information we will go back again.
Thank you so much for giving us the insight into how it was for all those heroic airmen.

I only recently learned of the existence of this iconic location and I don't think it gets the publicity it well deserves. What a collection of fascinating restored aircraft and historic artefacts covering everything from "The Great Escape" to noted aviators. We spent over three hours there including the "Lancaster Experience" which was well worth the cost. "Mal" was a font of knowledge and a great guide. The staff couldn't have been nicer and Vanessa on the front desk managed to squeeze us into a tour at short notice - although I would recommend making a booking. Fantastic few hours out for individuals and children were thoroughly enjoying the experience. Left feeling extremely indebted to those heroes who flew in the cramped conditions of those plane sing and so many of whom died to keep us free.

I took my young client who has severe autism and ADHD to this museum. We arrived at 3:15 (straight from school) and we were told that the museum “shut” and that we were not allowed to go in due to there not being enough time. This museum is advertised to be open until 4pm! My client became very distressed and upset due to him looking forward to the experience. We would’ve only stayed for max 30 minutes due to his ADHD. Very disappointing and misleading by advertising that it closed at 4pm. The man at the front desk was very rude and not understanding at all, saying that it is inconvenient for him. Horrible customer service and lack of insight about disabilities.

Are you able to sit inside any planes? My nephew is obsessed with planes at the moment and wants to sit inside one.
Written March 14, 2024
No. Most of them have a sign telling you not to. There is one, a civilian trainer, that kids can sit in.
