Mag aso fall is closed. We ask the driver in Bohol if it is open. He said he checked and its open. He charged us 3000 pesos going there and coming back to ferry terminal. But it was closed. All damaged and no one is around. We climbed down to some steps and saw the land fall also to this area. It is very dangerous to go there. Also I think the driver cheat on us. He lied to us. And he did not even offer any apology or decrease the amount he charged. He dropped us to The ferry terminal two hours before and he left.

We have seen better the camagao waterfall we visited after this waterfall was way way way better. I would recommend skipping this one and go for the camagao falls.

Located further north than most of the tourist locations but having watched youtube videos I added it to my day tour. I had prebooked my own car and driver before visiting Bohol. Parking is 20 pesos and then when you get to where you descend you pay an entry fee of 20 pesos. I assumed there must be two different families making money from this attraction.
It is a steep descent by concrete steps but it does not take that long. Very nice location. Swimming, large boulders to chill out on, shaded areas, just a cool place to spend a few hours.
Not many foreigners visit here probably because they don't do much research. I was the only foreigner there and my driver told me it had been 19 years since he last visited.

Hard for me not to love any waterfalls for swimming. Always adventure getting there and only several other people. Very easy access, beware slippery rocks but enjoy the space- go for a beautiful swim.

The way to the falls is very well marked. We came late afternoon and had a pleasent dip in the cool water, together with some lovely and very welcoming Philippino teens. The falls were not crowded, in contrary - we had the place almost to ourselves.
Only one point: be careful when entering the water. Its so slippery...

Low entrance fee, cool refreshing water, place to cliff jump and not busy. Would highly recommend as a place to stop for a few hours. The sign at the entry suggested you could walk to other caves and waterfalls, although we didn’t see any trails to do this.

Travelling from Panglao (if you are) can take up to 90 mins depending on mode of transport.

Small entrance fee upon entry. Set amongst many trees. Quite a steep descent/ascent from parking area (exercise care). Swimming available at own risk. Lifeguard onsite throughout the day.

For the time and effort involved getting there, and considering the end result, I wouldn’t go out of my way to see these falls. If you do go, I would consider incorporating Inambacan Cave into your trip (5 minutes to the turnoff down the road).

Since the earthquake of 2013, this water fall is much smaller due to change in structure and movement of rock formations. Still worth the 188 steps down for a swim and enjoyment of the sounds of water rushing down. Nature’s jacuzzi.
