It's a place with great historical importance and its one of the unique temples because here both shiva and vishnu are worshipped together(as the name suggests). If you visit please ask for sthala purana.

The temple is very shrine and a very peaceful place. One must get some time for peace and this is the place . I have been to the temple once and it was a very peaceful place.

Little far off from Udupi proper, but transport is available.we had rented a car, so we halted there and came after good darshan of Lord Shankarnarayana. divine feeling to see the God.

We visited this temple, as our relative had kept puja there. we liked the place and deity is just beautiful with divine look ie of Lord Shiva , we feel nice to look at it.
