Very nice trip from Tiradentes to Sao João del Rey in an old fashion train. We feel as if we were back in the past. There are trips only on weekends. If you go to Tiradentes, you should't miss it.

Super duper. It is amazing. 30 minutes ride. Tiradentes to São João Del Rey. Take the right seats, the scenery are much nicer.

A 45minute ride through the countryside to St João del Rey. Not much to see until you get into town and wave to the pedestrians. Fun for young kids. The train itself was vintage.

Sit on the last cars to avoid the smoke and on the right side so you can enjoy the view. Very disappointing to see trash scattered along side the tracks the entire length of the trip. I was impressed by how much dirt was there.

Besides being built by D. Pedro II remains one of the best and well preserved steam train in the world. It was a beautiful experience especially for my children

Very bad experience waiting for our main course more than 90 minutes. A planned highlight turned to disappointment. Won't recommend this place at all.

The trip from São João Del Rei to Tiradentes (and vice versa) is lovely! The train travels slowly, so you will be able to appreciate the view, which consists of farms, some mountains and, of course, the local fauna and flora. The locals are welcoming...More

Fantastic old steam train, lovely ride through the town and countryside to Tiradentes. Do try to buy your tickets early and get to the station a half an hour ahead on busy weekends to get the seats you want.
