Very disappointing to see trash scattered along side the tracks the entire length of the trip. I was impressed by how much dirt was there.
Nice steam train trip, but there's not much to see on the way. At Tiradentes station you can see the locomotive maneuvers on the turntable, which is nice. Locals are very friendly and happy to interact with the tourists.

Fantastic old steam train, lovely ride through the town and countryside to Tiradentes. Do try to buy your tickets early and get to the station a half an hour ahead on busy weekends to get the seats you want.
