This is a wonderful place to visit with an abundance of Aboriginal Art Work and stories to match the art. A good walk around the area is a must for all travellers in this area. We loved it.

Great rockart. Personally I think Ubirr was better scenery wise however Nourgangie had better rockart. Great walks. Would definately recommend.

This is a great place to visit! The walk is short, partly shaded & easy. The artwork is beautiful & something you have to see when visiting Kakadu. Located not far from a lookout point it’s about 30 minutes from Cooinda if you’re staying there...More

Easter this year, I took the family to Kakadu. As much of Kakadu was still closed due to the wet season, Nourlangie Rock was one place that was open and I wanted to show my boys some impressive Kakadu rock art. I haven't been there...More

The rock art here is really impressive with a range of figures & images, many of which are quite clear despite their age and exposure to the elements. A highlight of our visit to Kakadu.

Excellent display of aborigine wall paintings. The circuit is pretty short, not difficult to walk in spite of a few short steep parts. The paintings are beautiful and the lookout you get at the end of the trail is well worth the walk!

We went with our guide Joey from Kakadu 4WD Safaris who gave us a comprehensive introduction to the history of the site and the rock art. The climb to the top is an easy one, and provides great views of the area.

The Barkk walk was brilliant. Remember to start super early so you can avoid the sun, you can see the wildlife and avoid the crowds that mostly just spend the time at the look out area. The rest of the trek is all to yourself...More

This site was recommended on the Kakadu website - 3 Day Itinerary. The road is all bitumen and very accessable. The art work stands out more than Ubirr.
