While the distance is underestimated from Nelly Bay ( we left from Bright Point) the climb is about an hour long from the Nelly side but worth the view at the top. We left at 6.30am and planned for the intended 1.5 hours but was...More

Highly recommend taking the full trail from Nelly Bay across to the Forts walk. Great diversity in landscape and some unique views down to the different bays. A beautiful way to experience the whole of Magnetic Island

I liked this walk but I'm fairly fit. It is steep in places and the track can be a bit rough. Its nice under the trees but can be very hot when exposed to the sun. Great views once you get up high. Wear good...More

We set off from Nelly Bay intending to walk to Arcadia, then onto the Fort Walk. The walk to Arcadia is through beautiful forest with dappled sun. Lots of opportunities to see the coastline along the way. There is a junction about 2 km from...More

Great walk which I completed in flip flops. There is a bit of up and down but no more than you’d expect from a walking trail. My advice is to pack plenty of water as it gets pretty hot and you don’t want to get...More

The walk along the boardwalk up over the hill from Nelly Bay to Arcadia is superb on a beautiful morning - the sun glistening on the water, the wonderful views of the dramatic landscape from the top of the hill. The wildlife is prolific of...More

Fabulous walk with views but longer than expected. We were moderately fast walker but took us nearly 3 hours. Very scenic and the first half from Arcadia was all up hill. Quite a few rocks on the path do wear good shoes. When you come...More

This one of many many beautiful and worthwhile walks you can do in Magnetic Island. This walk is a moderate walk with only slight inclines. It is a beautiful walk in that you have a maginificent view of Nelly Bay, incredible trees and the noise...More

A beautiful walk through the bush, you can turn off along the way to go to the Forts well worth the diversion to see some magnificent grass trees near the forts end. The stone and dirt track is in reasonable condition That’s enjoyable enough to...More

Cool track which connects two villages, Nelly Bay and Arcade. I went late afternoon, good to avoid the heat and be careful to finish before its dark. I saw 3 wallabies, a possum and a really worth view from the Sphinx Lookout.

We started in Nelly Bay and went to Arcadia. It was steep ascent and descent so I think it would be the same either way. It was nice to be able to join it up with the Forts walk and also be right at a bus stop so I would... More
