Its very big well sorrounded place with l9ts of geeenary and seen kids studing below the tree and visited diffrent faculties and seen Tagore family full tree. Once a person when going to Asansol should visit atleast.

If you want to get touch of Gurudev, then this is the place you must vist. How the things are maintained insde the hose, specially GURUDEV'S daily used articles are jsut amazing to see.

Udayan (not sure may be uttarayan), Shyamoli, Punascho, udeichi constitute the tagore's ashrams. Very beautiful place with lots of architect and things related to kaviguru Rabindranath Tagore. A used car of tagore is also there. A nice museum is also there. Timing is 10 am...More

Takes one into magnificent past. Very well maintained and kept. One is asked to remove shoes at all places , hence proper place to keep shoes must be provided.

This building as named 'Uttarayan' was the working place of Gurudev where he composed many of his immortal creations. Articles being used by Tagores and letters etc kept here in well maintained condition. One must visit this unforgettable place to know more about Tagore.

I have no idea of same day return by Bus.However same day return by train is possible from Kolkata to santiniketan.
