The garden here is always worth visiting whatever time of the year as even in mid October this walled garden still has plants out and the many different apple trees had a huge numbers of apples on them.

Called into Kellie Castle & Garden purely by chance. Free admission as we’re English National Trust members so that was a bonus. Enjoyed the woodland walk around the castle and called into the cafe for Afternoon Tea. Great service, absolutely fabulous apple scones.

Well worth a visit both house and gardens. You tour the castle with a guide only. Our guide Niall was knowledgable, enthusiastic and clearly enjoyed his job. The sequence of occupancy is reflected in the furniture, fixtures, fittings and architectural changes throughout the building. The walled garden and...More

When you read a historical novel or non-fiction book about history, you don't have the luxury of asking the narrator or author questions on the spot. And so it was pretty much during my tour of Kellie Castle after an impromptu stop there. I was...More

The garden was relatively small for such a grand building. There was lots of car parking and an attractive walk around the estate.

What an interesting place! We arrived and took the tour around the castle, which was really interesting. The guide seemed to have genuine fondness for the building and the families that have lived here, it brought the place alive for us. Afterwards we spent some...More

Hi Stephanie, yes dogs on leads are most welcome in the gardens. Please be aware that we have a chicken who lives in the fruit cage area. We look forward to seeing you and your dog soon.

I don't think so and the website will clarify. You approach the front entrance on LHS of castle and go past it to the gate in the wall. There is a suggested donation box. Enjoy!
