Nice place to see but many people not too relaxing and to take photo at the top you have to wait a little while. The area where you get to swim is so many people.

The place is simply amazing. It is quite disappointing that some concrete poles and docking areas were built damaging the landscape, but what to do...? That's the price of the tourism.
There is an expensive fee to go inside the lagoon. And it is mandatory to wear lifevest even when you climb the montain, something that I find ridiculous.
I would probably avoid this place in my tour if I know about the mass and the lifevest.

This is a beautiful lake but the queues were frankly ridiculous with a 30 minute wait alone to take a photo overlooking the bay. We didn’t bother to wait! The lake really is stunning but there were people everywhere that made this unbearable! It was impossible at points to get out of the lake as people stand on the stairs and seem to show no regard for people wanting to get in or out. The twin lagoon was much better as there were significantly less people. Another overrated tourist attraction

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen! Exactly the same as the pictures. Crystal clear waters with a greenish-blue hue. The view at the viewing point is spectacular!
It’s quite a climb up and down to the lake so it’s definitely better to not be entirely unfit. But definitely worth it!
We came really early ~8am and missed most of the crowd. We snorkeled for ~15-20 minutes and moved on to the next site.
You DEFINITELY want to come out early if possible! You can do this by hiring your own private charter boat. More expensive but a much better experience.

There is a beautiful view of the cove and small islands of Coron Island. Nearly all the island hopping tours will stop here. There are about 160 steps up to a scenic viewing area. Then down the other side to Kayangan Lake where most of the bangka tourists stay for a nice swim in beautiful surroundings.

The place is super nice.but unfortunately it is too much crowded of tourists. And they ask you to wear a life jacket even when you aren't in the water, what seems very ridiculous. It took for us about 30 minutes to climb the 100 meters to get to the lake. It may be very nice without that amount of people.

This is what most people go to Coron for and I am one of those people. Kayangan Lake was our first stop on our group island hopping tour. The waters where we docked was so clear and pristine.
There's a hike of about 800+ steps to get to the lake. FYI there's stair climbing. There's about 15 boats or less that docked at the same time with us so yes, the lake was packed. However. it's big enough to still have a place for us to swim freely. There was a cave that we went in on the left side that was pretty interesting. The water there was cooler. The lake is not good for snorkeling, there's nothing to see except darkness. It's the views that made it amazing!
There's a viewdeck halfway through the hike. People were lined up and took us maybe 20mins to snap our photos. It would have been lovelybto stay longer and enjoy the view but we're on a group tour. Nonetheless, beautiful view!
FYI: drones are allowed from the boats. You cannot operate it from inside the lake. We lost signal as soon as we got to the other side of the mountain. It's kinda tricky with drones.

There's none as far as I know, Coron is divided into two. The city where accommodations are located and the islands. You have to book ur trip going to the islands. There are different packages offered by the locals.

Hi,
I would like to book a half day tour to visit Lake Kayangan and Twin Lagoon first. If there is time, we will add Barracuda Lake and Banol Beach.
Do you do private tours? How much would it cost per person?
Kind regards,
Monica BN

How can we go from Coron to Elnido? What is the schedule of the ferry and how many hours to get to Elnido?

they now have a new fast ferry which should take around 3 hours. Otherwise one needs to fly from Coron to Manila and then from there fly to El Nido or fly from Coron to San Vincente and take a bus/shared car or private car to El Nido (around 2 hours from San Vincente)

We are assuming you are billeted at the town of Coron, where most hotels and lodging places are located. In the morning. you can go to the port (reclaimed area) where all private bankas (boat) are dock ready to sail. But be sure to agree on the price for both going and return trip, you don't want to be left stranded in remote Kayangan lake..takes 15 minutes in good weather from the town of Coron to the Kayangan Lake wooden dock.
how to get to coron from puerto princesa and how many hours travel?

Hi Marilou,
You need to go to El nido, then take a boat but it is a long travrl (many hours). Otherwise, you need to take a flight to Manilla then to Coron. You could check but I don't think there is direct flight from puerto princesa.

You may have read a different review. I didn't say that the lake was bad. In fact, I loved it! My trip there was great. Here's my review....I copied/pasted it here for you.
The last destination in our extreme island hopping tour, Kayangan Lake will take your breath away. First, because you will have to walk up and down 300 plus steps going to and from the lake which will be challenging to people above the youthful age like me. Some steps are slippery so better have non slip footwear.
After treading the uphill downhill way to the lake, brace yourself for the grand view. There is a boardwalk where you can descend to the lake. The water is warm and a little salty. The calm, the serenity will make you wanna stay forever.
But the lake is open up to 5pm only...so....
hi Uimarakko,i just want to ask if it is worth it to stay there for the whole day and is it necessary to have a guide?tnx
myce :)

Hey Myce! Like the others already said, spend 1-2 hours there and then go to check the other lagoons, beaches, Barracuda lake next to. It was like 15 min to paddle from Kayangan lake to Barracuda. Remember, that even if you are going with a kayak, you have to pay the entrance fees in most of the places. But it's anyway less than half of the price compared to an normal boat trip.
Hi,
We're planning to do a pre nup shoot in Kayangan Lake. Can we go there around 4:00pm? Our photographer is coming in the afternoon and leaving early the next day. Can we get in after 4pm? Is it safe?

I suggest you'll have it at an earlier time as the area closes at 5pm.
The place is best for a pre-nup on a daytime. You will be amazed with the place; just too perfect for the shots. Yes, drones and go-pro should be on your gadgets list.
