My tour guide Jojo of Ellen’s Tours and Captain Avel of my banca , brought me into Kayangan Lake round 8:30am . It’s off season and low season due to Covid pandemic, so it was just one banca docked on the pier , ours! Jojo and i trekked up to the vantage point for about 15 mins , i was able to admire the view and thank God coz there were not too many boats on the dock . Then we trekked to the other side for The Lake and voila , we were the only two people there !!! I owned the lake ! Yeah ! Beautiful Creation by God indeed !!!

70 percent water and 30 percent salt water is the best place to end the wholeday tour. Check out my full review of the place on YT just search "Kayangan Lake by Juan Marko"

Our boat pulled up and we were told there was a bit of climbing involved from the day tour operator we were exploring the lakes and lagoons with. It's O.K. he said there are steps. Well there were 300 steps climbing up to the top of the mountain where the famous photos are taken. Then 300 steps down the other side to the magnificent lake. Not only that there was the return of 600 steps to get to the boat. I'm 72, a fanatic scuba diver, very fit but had the flu. I'm happy to say, I did it, and I'm super glad I did. It's a beautiful lake and snorkelling about in the magical clear water was well worth "a couple" of steps. Don't miss doing this. Dianne.
