Must Visit
Jun 2021
Breathtaking view of a crater from the vantage point. One of the most famous craters in Indonesia. Ignore the touts and guides and you will be fine, you don't need them anyway.

A Crater of Cash!
Sep 2020 • Couples
The Park located an hour away from downtown Bandung.
The Scenery Road was refreshing, seeing those Vegetables and Strawberries Farm was deliciously.
The Entry was Rp 100k for a car and two passangers, to go to the Crater will cost another 100k (up to 5 persons) for a Mandatory Tour Guide to the Crater.
And not including another 'small' parking fee on the Top that should be included?!
This is one of the most expensive National Park in Indonesia.
Surely not a cheap one!

New Experience
Feb 2020
My first experience going to volcano area and having live active volcano view. Been there at 10.30 am. Super nice view. Even thought I'm asthma sufferers, I can't really smell sulfur gas and we enjoyed the moment. Make sure bring your camera or phone to keep the moment. For sure, this place need a jacket if you coming early and for ladies, no high heels ya.

Somehow the souvenir's peddlers quite annoying but they offer help taking our picture for free. They have good skills to take beautiful picture. I just buy the souvenirs to repay their help, but definitely after bid more discount and getting the things with reasonable price.

Volcano
Mar 2020 • Friends
Nice view on one of the active volcanos. Last erupted July 2019. It seemed a bit touristic compared to the Domas Creater which is nearby and which to me was much greater experience.

Active volcano
Mar 2020 • Business
Tangkuban perahu is active volcano. Beautiful view. The last eruption was July 2019 and we can see the new crater from the last eruption.

Even this place was beautiful But it's over price for foreigner.
They charge for local 30k and for foreigner 200k (weekday) 300k (weekend) which is 10 times more expensive.

The sellers was aggresive. They will keep following and asking to buy with high price. If u are foreigner and coming without local guide they seller would charge very high and following u, offer help for take picture, and explaining like they are the guide. Just say No No and no. Go straight to the seller and if they still following just ignore, because sometimes they will pretend not listen.

If u shop here also u must able to bargain. Souvenirs shop will open price bit high that's why need to bargain.

Alot of local people here also will offer to another crater (domas) where they will charge again to pay more and expensive. So please be careful. They will say that they are local guide there.

Just walking, looking around and enjoy. If the tuits, or sellers coming and following. Just ignore and ignore them and ask them to leave because we gonna not buy any from them.

Nearest to parking ground
Jan 2020
Just few meter from parking ground, make it convenient to elderly. Better visit before noon to avoid fog, and watch out for rainy season since the wind is strong and cold.
Somehow the souvenir's peddlers quite annoying but they offer help taking picture and some guidance for free. If you decide to buy souvenirs from them to repay their help, make sure to bid for the price that make sense to you.

Visit to Tengkuban Perahu volcano
Dec 2019 • Solo
Awesome view of the volcanic crater even if it was foggy at times and the air smells of sulfur, depending on wind direction. I especially enjoyed getting a good look of how the lava cooled post-eruption! Just be (mentally) prepared for relentless touts and guides pressuring you pretty much the entire time.

Day Light Robbery
Dec 2019 • Family
Beautiful place but don't ever bother of entertaining anyone here.
No guides and dont buy anything.
Guides can tell u wonderful stories but its actually a trap later. U will be forced to purchase things at super high price and to pay tips.
They will treat u like VIP but after buying all went missing..
Please remember just walk by your own at the volcano peak, take photos and leave..........

The number one spoiler of Bandung trip
Dec 2019 • Family
This is the one 'attraction' I will recommend everyone to avoid. 1. The most expensive entry tickets in Bandung, and they still charge you for toilets that are not maintained. 2. You will be harassed by persistent sellers who tout you like flies, trying to sell souvenirs at riduculus price, it is just annoying and spoil the mood of the day. 3. The so called authorised tour guide is not honest, little info other than he only get to work 1 day per week, hard sell on items (volcano mud) that can not be checked in onto flight, and very persistent in demanding a tip. Come here to test your patience and toughness if you wish, otherwise, avoid it so that at least you have a good memory of Bandung.
