This was a great tour of a family home with a fantastic guide in Major Philip Hope-Cobbold. He is funny, well-informed and generous with his time. Our group enjoyed their time here and found the rooms fascinating and refreshingly ‘normal’. We learned about the family...More

Not the most attractive of houses from the outside, it is nevertheless fascinating to see around internally. Shown around by the owner in a pleasant and not remotely pompous or grudging manner. He was born in the house over seventy years ago and inherited twenty...More

We visited with one of the Invitation to View tours - and have to say this was the best of the many we have done.......primarily because of the "guide" (owner Philip Cobbold) who is most certainly a "character". Our tour included evening supper which, combined...More

Got dragged to FolkEast by my partner. I don't really like Folk music. However I had one of the best nights ever. Bellowhead, Blowzilla were great. I even danced. Greart setting.
