We had a great experience with Tropical Divers. We took the diver course with Ian who was very professional and entertaining. He made the whole experience very comfortable and fun. Encouraging and helpful with the exercises and good elaboration on Q&A where he used his own experiences to explain “Dos and donts”. You felt in good hands during the whole course.

My brother and I had our first diving course:Open Water Diving, here and it was so great. Our instructor, Alex, was good at explaining the instructions both on land and down in water. The flow of the course is well-organised. Students can achieve tasks step by step. I especially appreciate that Alex encouraged us to do the tasks by our own self until we are confident enough. We only tried diving once before coming to Tropical Divers. The experience this time definitely gives us more confidence in diving. Thank you for all the staff who have helped us before, not only Alex but also Ilya and Tania. Great to have you guys as our diving buddy. Look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Amazing dive resort! The equipment, boat, and resort were all very clean and well organized. I'm from Ireland and had no issues communicating with them as everyone spoke very good English and are also incredibly friendly and helpful. I haven't gone diving for 3 years due to COVID and Jojo, one of the divemasters, was very patient with me and made sure I was safe and comfortable during our check dive. I would definitely recommend Tropical Divers to divers of all levels and am looking forward to diving with them again!

Alex and team have done a fabulous job in setting up with this awesome dive shop. They are organized, clear in communication and have the best equipment. We did our open water and advanced refresher courses and it was the best decision to go with Tropical Divers. Alex himself is one of the best dive instructor i have come across and i would recommend to everyone.

Customer service was fantastic! We were a one diver and one non-diver walk-in. Too many dive shops are fronted by salesmen. I was walking around to various dive shops asking questions to vet each of them. Tropical Divers was courteous, professional and accommodating. I dove five times over three days. Each day they gave me a rough window to arrive in and when I arrived we departed when I was ready.
There is a short trip to the beach on one of their vehicles. They haul the gear to the boat and then we are diving within a few minutes. On all three days I had the divemaster, Jayson as my dive partner and no one else on the dive. If another party was on the boat they dove separately with another dive master. Jayson had a Go Pro that he used to take pictures/video of me with turtles, etc. When we got back to the shop he forwarded them to my phone at no charge. I was expecting a hustle of some type regarding the pics but there wasn't any. It was legitimate high quality customer service. Thanks, Jayson!
It was efficient, quick and easy. When the boat returned to shore, the divers were whisked back to the shop with their gear and the crew returned to get the tanks, etc from the boat.
The dive prices were less than all the other shops I queried. They even let the non-diver snorkel for free. I did not stay at their resort so I cannot comment but there is a really nice cafe next to it. It is not difficult to walk into the city center from the resort but trikes are plentiful if you don't want to. I had no concerns regarding safety in the area. I am from the US and had no issue communicating with the staff. I highly recommend this operation.

My experience getting the OWC with Ian from Tropical Divers was amazing. Ian’s patient and calming demeanor enabled me to overcome my long standing fear of deep water. Ian took the time to explain each scenario above water and made me comfortable under water to perform them myself. He is native to Bohol with well over 200 dives in local area. Don’t miss their location at the far end of Alona Beach...Highly recommend!!

Our family had diving experience with another dive center in Panglao, and we can compare) The equipment and boats are top notch, you don’t have to worry about safety.

Two of our family are certified in Tropical Divers. Two divers already had experience. And the four of us had a month of diving with incredible emotions. Balicasag, Sardines and other unique places will forever be in our memory. The guides are so professional that they will not miss a single experience for you.
The night dive was especially amazing. Neither in the Maldives nor in Egypt have we seen as much beauty as Joy was able to show us.
If you're planning on diving in Panglao, we recommend Tropical Divers!

I recently completed my PADI open water here on a trip to the Philippines. We were in the sea from the get go (no pool so it helped us get used to the environment).
We advised Alex that we only had 3 days, so wanted to complete in this time and they were more than accommodating. Lucky for us there was a good 1:1 ratio which meant we had the attention and support we needed.
My friend decided part way through that it wasn’t her, and they tried to make her as comfortable as possible with the water before she changed her mind. It would have been good to have more familiarisation if we had more time to complete the course and I’m sure they would have helped us out with that.
Passed first time and got to see some amazing things! Only thing to suggest would be a variation of dive sites. We went to the same house reef for all 4 dives so would have been good to experience somewhere else.

First Class. Great people, coordination and equipment. Hired Tropical for a private Group Charter for small family dive outing. Would highly recommend. Alex and his team do what they promise. Easy to book with excellent communication.

On our first trip to the Philippines my girlfriend and I decided to earn our Open Water Cert's. The entire process was fun and very professional. They are one of the few diving centers in Alona that are are actually PADI certified.
Ian M. was our instructor and he has 19 years diving experience to share. He speaks perfect english and he made the learning process very fun; we learned so much more than just the basics, and were shown some of the best diving spots on the island even during our first course.
The center is a beautiful little bungalow on the secluded south part of the beach, away from the craziness of Alona Beach. A bonus is the tree coverage providing much needed shade on hot days. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful and you feel like part of the family. We were treated to fresh mangoes and bananas everyday, as well as coffee and water.
We fell in love with Scuba Diving and it is our experience with Tropical Divers that made it all the better! Thank you Tropical divers, and thank you Ian!
