I am glad this stop was on our tour because it was very enjoyable to see glass being blown. Also you can step thru the many showrooms to see their products. We purchased a beautiful angel Christmas ornament there for about 18 euro.

We knew that with a free water taxi to/from our hotel and the gallery we'd be expected/pressured to buy something, but that wasn't the case. We did watch the craftsmen blowing some hot glass, along with a short presentation and explanation, which for me was...More

The artistic value of the glass objects is absolutely stunning, as long as you like it, of course. There are some really incredible pieces. However the prices that are being charged for these items are just far too extravagant for most visitors. They are beautiful...More

When our hotel offered us a free water taxi ride to Murano, I guessed that it would be paid for by one of the glass producers there and I was right, the water taxi was paid for by this company. However, I knew that I...More

My wife and I visited this gallery during our trip to Venice. We wanted to buy a piece of Murano glass for our new home. We found out that approximately 50% of all glass sold in Venice that is marketed as Murano glass is actually...More

The Murano glass is very nice and the island was easy to access with the help of our hotel. I believe many hotels have arrangements with Bisanzio Gallery for a free ride in hopes you will buy some pieces. That is fine with me, the...More

Ok, first of all we accepted a "free" trip to Murano from our hotel. Nice enough, but shipped right into the Bisanzio gallery. We were met by slick looking sales people in tailored suits and immediately ushered into a glass blowing demo. My "scam" radar...More
