Nice train journey outside the city centre - takes about 30 minutes to reach. Looks small as you approach but actually a large gallery. Large Picasso exhibition was the highlight when we visited and I enjoyed it. The children's facilities are spread over 3 floors...More

Easy trip from Copenhagen to this gem of a museum. We went with little expectation and left completely bowled over. The Picasso’s ceramics display was incredible! The gift shop, would you believe it, is incredible!

As a non-artist, I am often puzzled by why I like galleries / museums of art, particularly modern art. When art is presented in such a sympathetic way as here, within sculptured grounds by the side of the sea separating Denmark and Sweden, you can...More

If you have more than a couple of days in Copenhagen make sure you come here - it's really very special. A gallery that invites you to wander and explore and with everything at eye-level and moderate ceilings - no 'temples to art' here. A...More

Beautiful museum by the sea. The food in the restaurant is a bit meh. All the rest is great. Just 30 mins by train from the city centre.

We like visiting museums on trips and we were with a group of friends for a 30th birthday. Train ride was easy from Nørreport near the centre of Copenhagen to Humlebæk and then a 10 minute walk (easily signposted). Fantastic collection of paintings, ceramic and...More

This museum, which is a 25 minute train ride from Copenhagen, attracts art lovers who are willing to make the effort to go to a special place to see a great modern art collection in a beautiful location. So glad that a friend recommended it.

This is highclass from the building itself, the view, the exhibitions. The collection of Giacometti thrills me as well as the room with Asger Jorns paintings.

If only they opened their doors a little earlier! We thoroughly enjoyed the great collection, well designed galleries, and variety of spaces and exhibitions. Excellent store and cafe, excellent auditorium and children's classroom.
