One of the best beach I have been to. The fine sand and the pink color of the sand is something that will live you breathless. For those who wants peace and quiet in a serene environment, this place is a must place to visit.

This is one of my fav island hopping beach because of its pink sand that it is rare to see and its crystal clear water. Our tour guide is very friendly and accommodating that's why we enjoy every second of our escapade.

These are two separate islands. We first went to Tikling Island and was able to see a fisherman with his fresh catch of the day, enjoyed the caretakers' pet native pigs. Then our guide took us to Subic Beach ( the way he described it is that there are two Subic beaches, one more popular with tourists with stores and more cottages and the other one more private and secluded). I was lucky to visit both. Great beach for a dip and for relaxation (ice-cold beer in hand). Due to the red corals in the area that got mixed with the white sand, the beach gives a pinkish color to the delight of the islands' visitors.

A paradise indeed with its PINK SAD and blue waters. I've been here 5 times or more. What I like about Subic is the caves and the island hopping. If you want to come and visit I can tour you and you can stay at our place for a while. ❤️

We enjoyed our stay, will love to come again. If you want a vacation without any stress, this is the place to come. No phone cover, no internet connection...we are from scandinavia. We where asked if we really wanted to stay overnight for one week....nothing is going on at this island....PERFECT is the answer. Our lovely staff was indeed a perfect match. The serving was to be planned before arrival, the crew at Holy Trinity Beach resort had to do some shopping upon our arrival, we had to suggest what to be served. And if something missing, they go by boat to mainland and buy what ever we need. Very serviceminded hosts. We can not thank you enough....love you all.
The place need some serious maintenance to be complete perfect for overnightstay. Locals use place for daytrip. But strangely, we meet several scandinavians on the island, but we, 10 persons, where the only ones staying for one week. The beach and water was perfect. Snorkeling the beach and corals was nice. Many small colorful fish. Beach all by our self. Only locals passing. Many stray dogs, but not big problem, native breed, Askal, fell in love with some, but not allowed to feed, wanted to bring home. A lot of rubbish coming in to shore when tidewater flows, lots of plastic. Started cleaning and if everyone do some, it will help. There was also small jellyfish coming in with the tidewater, this caused some painful hits on some in our group. The hosts organized tour around the island with local banca boat, a litle bit noizy....
The goverment was present on the end of our stay, demanded a beach cleanup, 25 meters in from shoreline, a good thing to do...
Remember Boracay...do not make this a new Boracay.
Keep the Calintaan island, and Holy Trinity Beach resort clean and keep up the kindness you all presented to our group from Scandinavia. We would love to visit again. Also message to owner, your place are in need of some serious maintenance..... hope to see some new updated pictures.....

This is 3- part day tour.

Our first stop was the Juag Lagoon Fish Sanctuary (which I have a separate review).

Our second stop is the Calintaan Cave. It was like an underground river. You can only enter to the said cave when the weather is calm. Out boatman is kind enough to assist us entering the cave.

Our third stop is the Subic Beach (Little and Big) aka known as the pink beach. When the sun is too bright, the sand is cream to white. However, if you put your shades on, you can see a tinge of pink. The beach is calm and clear. It is pristine. I could swim all day.
We did not rent any cottages because we only availed day tour. We opt to stay under the trees. Our boatman, Kuya George, is generous enough to borrow tables and chairs from his cousin owning a cottage for rent business on the Island.

How to get there:
1. From Sorsogon City, we ride a jeep going to Matnog, Sorsogon at 6AM. The fare is 90 pesos per person and the travel time is 2 hours. From the jeepney terminal, we walk towards the Tourism Office of Matnog. There is a P70 Environmental Fee per person. Boat Rental is available for day tour or overnight. I got ours for P1800 for day tour. The capacity of the boat os for 10-15 persons. It is too big for me and my boyfriend haha.

Note: Bring your own food. You can cook there. For my part, I bought cooked meals to lessen the hassle. Our generous boatman lend us plates, spoons, forks, and glasses. Bring your own trashbag with you and bring said trashbag returning to the port. Do not leave any trash on the island. I only recommend Day Tour. The huts, cottages, cr, and the rooms were underdeveloped and pricey.

My family had our summer vacation in Sorsogon on the last week of May. We decided to go to Subic, Matnog to experience the beach there. And it didn't disappoint us. The beach is beautiful. It has clear, pristine water and is not that salty. I also loved the sand because it is white, fine and somewhat pinkish. The beach seems to be like that of Boracay.

Aside from that you have the option if you'll have just a day or overnight stay. There are rooms for accommodation which you can rent. A common kitchen is also set for cooking your food. You just have to pay for gas usage. There are available cottages for gathering and eating. You can also go on camping if you want to put up a tent.

I'd love to go back there and enjoy another vacation. It's also a good place to conduct a team building or company outing just like what we saw during our stay there.

A very nice place indeed!
