Beautiful and picturesque beach! There's no need for a boat ride as you will just hop on and off to an hour and a half jeepney ride!

Tips:
1. No food & restaurants around so better bring your own packed foods and drinks.
2. The beach is low tide in the afternoon, you can cross and walk to the lagoon. Bring a sturdy slippers when going up the lagoon/ cliff.
3. Try cliff jumping, the lagoon is perfect!
4. Videoke are available so sing your heart out till midnight.
5. Overnight cottages can be rented from P500 to P1,000.

How to get there:

From Manila, make your way to Sorsogon City. From Sorsogon City, ask for the jeeps going Bacon/ Sawangan and ask to be dropped off in Paguriran.

First trip from Savemore in Sorsogon is 5am while the last trip from Paguriran to Sorsogon City is at 3pm. It's an hour and a half travel time and fare costs is P44 per way each person.

Experienced the breathtaking view of white sand, crystal clear water, rocks formation and fascinating lagoon of Paguriran Island. Less than an hour drive from Sorsogon City. You can enjoy an overnight stay in this safe place with it's hospitable people.

Paguriran Island Lagoon is not well known compared to other scenic spots in the Philippines, yet it offers relaxation and amazement especially to its visitors. The sand is powdery white, children will love to play and go to the island because of its attractiveness and cool waves during low tide. There are cottages for those wishing to stay overnight; there are a lot of videoke machines for those opting to sing; We arrived at around 9am...the water was about to recede...we enjoyed its clean and cool water...at about 1pm, the shoreline dried up..Som it is advisable that you go there early in the morning before the "low tide". Some say that the water will rise again at about 4pm or later.,.Be sure to bring your utensils if you want to cook a newly catched fish. At that time a fisherman was selling to us a yellow fin tuna. P390.00...this can be lowered according to one's negotiating skills...So to all those who want to visit this enchanting island...ENJOY...you will visit an extraordinary island which ONLY FEW PEOPLE EXPERIENCE AND KNOW ABOUT...US INCLUDED...

A group of us went there with great expectations. What a
HUGE disappointment! If you like wall to wall people, Kareoke huts right next to each other blasting away, garbage all over the place...then THIS is the place for you!

This was a favorite destination, but just this weekend our co-workers were harassed by some locals. They had to leave in the middle of the night because of this. I am not going back to my former favorite haunt and I do recommend that unless people in that area can treat their visitors with respect that everyone should avoid this place.

I heard about Paguriran Island while traveling on a bus towards Southern Bicol. It was an adventure getting to this hidden treasure along the Pacific. When I first arrived off the jeepney I knew i was somewhere special. The sun shinning on the beach showing through the palm trees was very alluring. The White sand beach and clear Blue water have lots of coral to see. The Paguriran Island resort is a hidden paradise and not crowded. Just what someone can use for unwinding and allowing your spiritual side to come out.

The actual island is about 100 feet off shore and can be walked to at the early part of the morning. As the tide goes out you can swim and snorkel your way out and back. Never really getting too deep, it's none intimidating and offers very romantic scene during the evening sundown. I had a blast snorkeling along the coral areas inside and out from the island. Seeing the island is amazing! It has a beautiful natural lagoon that offers wonderful views and pictures.
Paguriran Island resort has beach cabins for rent by 12 hour increments. Just 600 pesos, very fair price and well worth it! The cabins are basic bamboo and wood with a CR (bathroom) and private bedroom. The staff will cook you a home made fresh caught Blue fin tuna with a side of rice (the resort specialty). It was very good and you can eat right on the beach. Also, plenty of snacks and drinks on site. Everything is tabbed to your room until your departure, so makes it easy for lounging and playing around without having to keep your wallet on you. Each cabin comes equipped with its own karaoke arcade and outside seating area for large groups of friends and family.
They owners (staff) are very courteous and attentive. They regularly clean the property and bathrooms. The area was safe and offers fun at a very fair price for anyone wanting to visit the Bicol region and on a budget. This beach is right up there with Boracay and all the rest. The day you leave you'll take the jeepney back to town at 3pm. Don't worry if your running late from all the fun. The staff understand and will flag the Jeepney down for you till your ready. Great looking out!
All in all, Paguriran Island is an experience that you will never forget and leaves you wanting more.

people of Paguriran created a big mess. Unfortunately the locals + the LGU paid no respect to the environment. Each hut had a videoke and broken shards of glass are all over the lagoon.

A must visit place when you’re in Sorsogon. It is more than one hour travel from Sorsogon City. There is no entrance fee in this island. There are small cottages that you can rent, in our case, we didn’t. We came here early in the morning. The view is spectacular. The small island lagoon with the Mayon Volcano at the back, it is stunning. As the time goes by, as the tide goes low, the beauty of the lagoon will start to show. There is a cliff diving area which I really enjoyed. Be sure to bring your slippers when you explore the whole island, the rock formation is sharp and can cut thru your feet.

More like a coral outcrop than an island, these very beautiful collection of rocks can be accessed by wading through the beautiful blue waters any time. Sadly the amount of rubbish on the island along with the blaring karaoke from shore made the visit less appealing. Bring footwear and nothing more so you can walk and swim comfortably around the island.

If you'll visit this place on a sunny day, you'll be able to see the tip of Mayon Volcano. I just wish that people will take care of this place. The last time that we visited the place, there were empty plastic wrappers everywhere.
