Unique in the Dordogne-Open all year round. In the heart of the medieval village are underground cave dwellings where the poorest people lived up to the 18th century. During a 45 minutes guided tour, you will discover the interior of 8 caves and learn many details about the life of the cave dwellers and inderectly about Belves. Visits for 4 people minimum, 18 maximum. Bookings and informations are advice.

Very interesting tour of these fascinating caves , lived in for centuries by the poor people of the area. Our guide spoke very good English and took time to explain details to us as well as in French to the others in the party ....More

The best way to see this is via the tour given by the tourist information office. We really enjoyed the tour and found the guide informative and knowledgeable.
