its good to see a man made viaduct in existence amid the exceptional view of the the ocean and the strong breeze blowing in every direction. For some it might just look like any other bridge..but for tourists who travelled a long way just to see it....all I can say is..it's worth the long trip.

There is the elevation of the road much higher so that the high tide can not flood the roadside if not made higher. The effect is breathtaking and the best for photography. This is why most tourists will not miss this spot.

Found this zigzag bridge between mountain and sea. Breathing a very fresh air and unto the end of it found a small hydro electric plant with very fresh and clean stream water.

Best when the Waves are high or its high tide, the waves are as high as it hits your face.....so if its not that its just another average bridge but still good views to photograph around....further if you go you can see rice terrace but amazing drive.....

It was a bridge behind a mountain, and not over water. The miniature I saw at the Malacanang of the North did not do justice to the view. Though, thanks to Pres. Marcos for building this project.

It's a must to see this highway connecting Ilocos and Cagayan. It's a man made marvel of building a road at the edge of the mountain. The view is stunning.

Driving through the Patapat bridge is simply enchanting what with the lush and vivid green of the mountain and the calming blue of sky and sea as if the world has been reborn again

The Patapat bridge hugs the side of the mountains in the northern most part of Ilocos. Long and winding, it provides a scenic view of the South China Sea. We were on a group tour and this is one of the sites visited. We had a wonderful time.
