Much more massive and impressive than the nearby dam in Myczkowce. Moreover, one of the best places to admire the beautiful Solina Lake. Unfortunately, the reception is (highly) deteriorated by the surroundings full of stalls with rubbish items. And this is a pandemic year... A little bit of investment wouldn't hurt as well. I would suggest coming here out of season.

We manage to walk the dam after parking a bit far away, lots of people ( early afternoon) and buzz. Plenty of eateries and restaurants, some good other not so much as all touristic places. Good ice cream parlours. We rested a bit on the closest side of the lake, by the boats but the impression was not good, sand/pebbles really dirty and smelly. I was told to go on th opposite side of the lake for a better environment.

It is available in Polish only. If you are technology/infrastructure freak and still can't understad Polish don't worry, this tour is for you. After a short informative film (in Polish) the guide takes you to the generator chamber and 3 levels of inspection galleries inside the dam. It is really impressive and interesting. You need to walk several steps up and down so feel warned. You cannot take photos or make films inside, cannot have a bag, even a small one. You go through security check a bit like at the airport. You need to have a valid ID with a photo (adults). tickets are 18zl adult, 13zl schoolchildren. The tours start every hour on the hour between 9am and 4pm. We decided to take the 4pm tour and it was a good choice - the car parks below were empty, while they tend to be full of cars in the morning. We were impressed by the size of the dam inside and outside. After the tour we walked along the dam. Just like other people noticed, the amount of stands and kiosks with all sort of souvenirs spoil the experience.

We had perfect weather to visit this site in the countryside and we were glad we visited it. It is a typical tourist area with a large line of kiosks and eating areas lining the road to the lake and dam. The walk on the dam is nice and the views are beautiful. Boat rides on the lake are available for 20zl.

This great piece of engineering. Worth seeing. The lake is beautiful and if you have some time you can take a boat trip. Around lots of restaurants with regional food. There are too many bazzars with souvenirs.
