Please don't get me wrong - I enjoyed Ragusa and Modica but Scicli and Noto are 2 special places plus they are small enough to really get around. I did a day trip via the train (For anyone coming via train be aware the train...More

I did not have this city in my plans for travel around East Sicily, but we stayed in a nearby agriturismo (farmhouse) so it was recommended by the hosts for food and walks. At the time of our stay, there was a religious festival and...More

Avoiding crowds to Noto, Ragusa and Modica - Scicli has it all. All the late baroque sicilian architecture and a church on every corner. Add on the cve society and have a look in the grotto museum. Run before the tourists discover Scicli.
