What an amazing place

This would appear to be a small attraction but for my young family it was a delight of the exotic and the extraordinary. Even my wife was taking notes on the special gardening techniques used. What is especially nice is the the attraction has not been over commercialized. If you are a keen gardener, prepare to learn some new tricks. For me it was the first time I have ever seen black flowers and black tomatoes.

Great visit. Lots of things to see & learn

We visited the potager with the family and spent over 4 hours there! You can leran a lot about various farming methods.
The settings are very nicely arranged and the guided tour is also worth it.
Wander around, find the secret passages and enjoy your stay in this unique place.

Loved our visit to this beautiful place. Really interesting plants and flowers to see smell touch and feel. We took some gorgeous photographs and enjoyed a few giant games too for the kids. there is a lovely gift shop and plenty to explore for a good few hours.

Not for gardeners

I found this garden disappointing, but I am a keen vegetable gardener. If you don't know much about the subject then it might be worth a visit otherwise I'd give it a miss.

Beautifully presented.
Even though we visited late in the gardening season and lots of leaves were dying off, the garden was presented creatively with the use of maize and sugar cane to form structure. The squashes were amazing with fruit hanging from ceiling to the ground. Well worth a visit for some inspiration.

It is an interesting place if you want to spend a couple of hours away from the beach. The guided tour is very interesting if you speak French. Recommended.

A travesty of missed opportunities

What on earth did you expect, rows of cabbages, asked Neil. Well, in a way I did. I wanted to see an extraordinary vegetable garden. I had hoped to see lots of different types of many different vegetables. I wanted to learn about vegetables that I didn't know. I wanted to find out how crops are rotated, how to make sure that the garden maximises its production, how pests can be better controlled. I wanted to be able to buy vegetables in the shop. I wanted to eat dishes in a restaurant, made with vegetables grown in the garden. Maybe I was asking too much. I had the privilege of having a father who experimented with vegetables. A spaghetti marrow was no stranger to our table.
This garden did not make the mark. The tomatoes department was great. It was exactly what I expected. You could see practically any type of tomato. I went home with notes about ones to try for next year, but why could I not buy the seeds!!! The gourds were fascinating and long cucumbers, but beside those, I found this place lacklustre and disappointing. So many things could have been done...and wasn't.
