Very colourfully decorated church in a pretty village where history abounds with rumour and intrigue. To fully appreciate the church (and the village) you must read about the place, Rennes-le-Chateau, even so it is very interesting.

Yes, I have read all the books about Eglise Sainte-Marie-Madeline. I am just so pleased that I have had the chance to visit this rather strange but beautiful church. I am sure that there are mysteries and hidden meanings around but I certainly noticed a...More

In Rennes-le-Chateau, we toured the church, Eglise Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, with our small group. The church is relatively small and has a pregnant Madonna and stained-glass windows. Inside, it's very photogenic and well worth a visit.

Tiny church but with some beautiful sculptures. Worth a quick peek and it is free. No flash photography which was totally ignored by some.

The ever famous asmodeus of Rennes has been vandalised but will be repaired. Anyone who is a fan of the mystery will be saddened. The church is the alpha and omega of the story and is a must on anyones bucket list who has the...More

The focus appears to be the hype about how the priest afforded everything, ignore the hype & focus on what's in front of you. A beautiful church with intricate decoration, just look at the roof. Has experienced vandalism (devil at the entrance has been badly...More

Not read the De Vinci Code so our visit to this church was just out of interest on a sightseeing trip. Without having read up on the 'clues' that can be found inside the church, it just comes across as a rather strangely decorated church,...More
