Flamingos are at Lake Bogoria this year 2018. We were told that once we got to lake Nakuru. We decided to change our plan and kept driving to see them. The drive was around 6 hours and some part of the road was flooded. 4x4...More

We drove 3 ours each way, so 6 hours in total for a 5 mins view of the pink flamingos. The road access to the hot springs was closed due to recent heavy rains. It was HOT and uncomfortable to stand there beyond 5 mins....More

Google maps will tell you to take a dirt road to get to Bogoria. Ignore it, and follow the tarmac rd or about 45kms. The turning is signposted. Before you get into the park, buy some eggs from the shops near the gate (ksh 100...More

The water level in Lake Bogoria has risen considerably and the old road has been washed away. It's an 18km drive to the hot springs and the scenery, flamingos, and pelicans are stunning. The road is not suitable for saloon cars and the 18km trip...More

I was just awed at the sight of flocks of both greater and lesser flamingoes. My guide knew very well how to avoid the vans of Chinese tourists so that they didn't present a problem. Lake Bogoria is a spectacularly beautiful lake.

Though I'm of Chinese descent, but I have to agree with other reviewers that mainland Chinese travelers have been a nightmare wherever they go. We arrived at the lake around 2:30pm and there were a small group (thank god) of mainland Chinese tourists who screamed...More

Hi guys, Lake Bogoria is a small reserve. Most of the reserve consists of an algae-rich lake. Since the the flamingos left Lake Nakuru after the flooding in 2012, Bogoria is a good place to see flocks of flamingos. Though there are not as many...More

We planned our second visit to Kenya with seeing the spectacular flocks of flamingos in mind, and were advised to see them at Lake Bogoria rather than at Nakuru because of a rise in the water level since 2014. We were not disappointed - they...More

Lake Bogoria is famous for its thousands of Flamingos and the hot Springs and geysers, which erupt sporadically and violently throughout the area, but many visitors enjoy what feels like a natural spa. The geysers are also used for healing purposes due to their medicinal...More

Lake Nakuru National Park has lots of game. Baringo and Bogoria are more for birds. However Lake Baringo Island resort is stunning.
