Fantastic coastal paths offer up breathtaking scenery and stunning views of dramatic granite cliffs falling into the Atlantic. Very quiet area too even in high summer.

Navia Historical Park leads you through time, back to the culture of people who have occupied and shaped its untamed landscape. You learn something about the way of life of cavemen, the Celts, the Romans, whalers and farmers. The park has several walking routes with impressive cliffs, carved by the Cantabrian Sea, sandy beaches, mountains and valleys with countless rivers, streams and waterfalls. Traditional paths traveled by fishermen take you to rocky outcrops hiding charming fishing villages, where you find many reminders of the whale harvesting. The hillsides and valleys are marked by intense green of grass and woodlands. You can visit the Cave of Demo with paintings on its walls, if you do not mind climbing a steep slope along a narrow path. On your way, you encounter villages with traditional architecture like "horreos", warehouses in stone or wood built on top of stone pillars.
