Mr. Chinh was friendly, that’s where the positive ends. This was not a tour so much as a taxi service. We were not brought any place we could not have gone on our own with a taxi and a LP. The coffee plantation tour was us pulling over on the side of the road and walking into someone’s coffee trees. Cacao tour was a public cocoa cafe that we could have walked into ourselves off of the street. The tour guide attempted to add others to our private tour. We were brought to souvenir shops instead of coffee houses when we requested a coffee stop as per our itinerary. It seemed the tour was being made up as we went as the order of things kept changing. Restaurant was dirty and had many flies. It was a side of the road shop between a motorbike repair shop and a karaoke spot. Food was the worst we had in BMT. We know there are many good places to eat locally as we’ve had many other meals in BMT. Nothing about this tour was worth the $45 pp price we were quoted at booking. I am certain that I am writing a review for the correct tour company despite any response from the owner.

We had the guide services of Mr & Mrs Chinh for our 3-day stay in Buon Ma Thuot, Dak Lak. For the first 2 days, it was a group of 6 people, my wife and myself plus another 4 people. We were picked up from our hotel lobby each morning, no fuss and personally by Mr Chinh and he wa always on time, if not approximately 5-10 minutes earlier. As there were 6 of us, we were transported around in a mini bus which was comfortable, clean and most important safely driven at all times. Mr Chinh speaks good English and is very knowledgeable about the area, the cultures, the tribes and the history. Charges are extremely reasonable for included are the entry ticket costs and good local lunches. The only additional was the cost of a boat tour around the Lak lake by boat which is another US$4 per person, but you are notified upfront, and there is no pressure to join. You merely wait 30 minutes at the pier or browse the souvenir shops while the boat is out sailing. On the 3rd day, there was only the both of us. They took us out in a 6 seater Toyota Innova. Again, safe driving and a clean and well-maintained vehicle. What I really like is that the $35 per day really means that, and there was no pressure to spend a penny extra. It was an awesome first trip to BMT and we are looking forward to coming back again.

We had two one day tours with Mr. Chinh and both were great! He showed us many interesting places (coffeee plantation, cashew trees, elephants etc., nothing boring), he told us many information and answered all our questions. He was really patient and trie to understand what we would like to see and know. He was also really friendly and the communication with him was really easy and fast. We can highly recommend his tours!

with my husband we spend 5 days between Da Lat, Lak Lake and Buon Ma Thuot. I found Mr Chinh's agency on Trip Advisor. We started to exchange by e-mail in order to organize our trip in the area. He was very helptul with all his advises, very reactive in our exchanges and we were able to build exactly the tour we wanted. As planned he was waiting personnally for us in Da Lat where we spent two days visiting the city and the surroundings, he even found us a French guide. After we went to Lak Lake where we visited local villages and went for an elephant ride in the lake which was a good experience. We finally reached Buon Ma Thuot where we visited the city, coffee plantations, and the beautiful waterfalls outside of the city. All this tour was very well organised, Mr Chinh was very attentive to all our desires, he was also giving us so many information on this region he knows so well. We learned a lot and will keep a very good souvenir of these days we spent with him. He was present with us till the very last moment to drop us at the airport not before inviting us to have dinner at his home. We strongly recommend his agency for the quality of the service, the price which is very reasonable and most of all for Mr Chinh who is such a nice person. Thanks again Mr Chinh

We did a 3 day tour with mister Chin around Buon ma thuot. We saw etnhic villages, waterfalls and much more. He is a perfect tour guide! We went to so many places we would not have been able to see on our own. The best thing we saw where the elephants in Yok Don National Park. These elephants are free to live in the forest now, where before they where used for tourist rides. Pf course these are still tame animals, wild elephants would be to dangerous to come so near. At the Lak lake there are still elephants that are being used for tourist rides. We did not want to support this cause, and did not like the sight of it. If you are travelling through this area, be aware of the fact that you will most defenitely encounter these captured elephants. The rest of the trip was amazing and everything is taken care of. Mr. Chin is a perfect guide who will tell you everything you want to know about the surroundings. We highly recommend Daklak Tours for all travelers!
