We had hoped to stop off in Trouville for a galette for lunch. We couldn't get parked! The traffic was awful, there were people everywhere and it was just too crowded. It was late afternoon when we arrived to Courseulles-sur-Mer, but we still found a few vendors in the seafood market. Most of the stalls in Quai des Alliés were empty, but even in that time, it was possible to choose fresh fish. Have on mind that we visited Courseulles-sur-Mer on June, there were few tourists, we do not know what is the situation on July or August. I guess, you should come to the marked in the morning if you do not want to miss to see a spectacular variety at least.…

A few stalls selling right from the sea fresh fish! We did not buy anything but it was very interesting to watch. It takes you only a few minutes to stroll down the street to have a look at the selection. I have to say that the variety of fish was very impressive. I also saw the biggest lobster ever! We asked and it was 2.6 kilos!!! I have seriously never seen anything even close to that size. Not an expert in prices for fresh fish but I think that the prices were very reasonable as well. Would definitely recommend someone who has the possibility to prepare fish to buy it from there.…

Lobsters, shrimps or other seafood and fresh catch of the day: we truly enjoyed discovering species unknown to us and eventually purchased some for a delicious BBQ dinner with friends.…
