Somewhat dated display for a collection of artifacts.

Being a history buff, I always find some thing of interest in most any museum, but the somewhat dated display for a collection of artifacts here is not world class.

Good find. Only people there and up close with all the exhibits often in touching range which was great. 3 floors of artefacts. Fab

Strolling the street one morning we came across this museum. Not one to pass up an Archaeological Museum we went in. Some very interesting findings and some thing we did not know. But like Italy the room numbering was hard to keep up with.

Great way to learn about the Etruscans!

We were staying in this town for our 4 day Tuscan Wine Tour and popped into this museum about an hour before closing. We really enjoyed exploring it. We didn't know much about the Etruscans and this was a great introduction.

This is a small museum; don't expect a polish presentation. We had some English notes to explain things. Part of the fun was trying to figure out the directions and exactly what we were supposed to be looking at as I read the information. Our own little expedition!

This had been a palace and there were remnants of frescos on the walls. This added quite a bit to the charm of the place!

We loved visiting the Archeological Museum in Colle Val d'Elsa. it was tiny, but really interesting covering local history. One of the best small town museums ever
