Tucked discreetly alongside SH1, between the townships of Waipu and Ruakaka and overlooking the magnificent Bream Bay lies this great links golf course. With a reputation of some of the best greens in New Zealand this course will offer you a great...more
We stopped for a quick lunch and we were so surprised with amazing views and food was great . We had open steak sandwich which was delicious and the bar man was great as he gave me a tasting of the beer before I could...More
Waipu golf course is certainly tough and it's not made any easier with the pitted fairways. In some holes it was hard to see a cut line between rough and fairway. Otherwise a challenge

We found this beautiful restaurant and golf course by chance! The scenery is so breathtakingly inspiring. Our delicious breakfast was served by friendly staff, as we have noted all throughout Northland!

We stopped here purely by chance, but were pleasantly surprised by excellent gluten free fish and chips with a great view. Don't be put off by the old golf club lunch room, there are some great options here for people with food allergies also.
We stopped for coffee only on our drive south having failed to find an easy parking spot in Whangarei. Really good coffee, friendly staff and the most amazing view. I'd definitely recommend over a detour into the town further north.
We enjoyed warm friendly customer service from the new café owners. And what a pleasant experience sitting on the veranda enjoying fantastic views and good flavoursome food made on the premises.
What a pity this café hasn't received more exposure to locals and travellers alike.
A shame the cafe was so bad. Clueless waitress who was also rude. Had eggs Benedict that was served on cheap white sliced bread and had to search for the hollandaise. Interior looks drab. Probably the reason we were the only people in there.
