This is an easy hiking area. Well marked trails and good identification of flora and fauna. Lots of options to turn back or carry on . Amazing Carolinian specimens larger than I have seen elsewhere in Ontario.

There is something for everyone at Backus. There are many different events that take place over the year and it's great for a family day away.

We spent a weekend tent camping at this park. It was a fairly clean and organized park, with some shady sites, though none that seemed very private. It would have been a more satisfactory experience had it not been for the couple next to us...More

I hadn't heard of this place before searching for things to do around Long Point, and am glad I stopped by! Being a history buff, I loved seeing period buildings and other artefacts. In addition to the mill are a two-story home, two smaller homes,...More
