Staff is what makes this place the best!! We miss you all already!! 🥰
The staff here is what made this trip the absolute best!!! Yery, Angelica and Sheena were my absolute favourite people! The staff in the snack bar were also amazing!!! Such great, entertaining staff all around! Views are amazing! I really enjoyed the Michael Jackson tribute. Definitely a beautiful place to go to relax and wind down from everyday life!

    Nicest beach by far.
We travelled end of dec 2023 and had taken a package for the catamaran day trip. One of the only highlights we had during our 7 day stay at the Imperial . The lunch was very good the boat trip fun and exciting the animator awesome...you sexy chickens( you know who you are) and to finish up on one of the nicest beaches I have ever seen well worth the package or even the money to rent the beach chairs(yes they rent them in the shade) and stay for the day.

    Pristine White sand
Pilar Beach is about 8km from Iberostar Daiquiri and is a short cab ride there. The beach is wide and had long sand dunes with pristine diamond white sand and goes out for about 1km (similar to Turks and Caicos and Grand Caymans). The waters are blue and you will have to pay $5/pp CDN for a lounge and palapa if you want. However, you can bring a beach blanket as well. There are catamarans and paddle boats you can pay to use as well. There were some crowds but there is enough space for everyone there and the view is of Half Moon island. There are some catamarans that can ferry you over for $30 CDN for lunch or $40 CDN if you want to snorkel as well. There is the Pilar Restaurant as well but didn’t eat there.

    Stunning!
Playa Pilar is a place I would recommend anyone to visit if you are in staying in Cayo Coco/Cayo Guillermo Cuba! For our family, it was only a 5 minute drive away from our resort. The beach is stunning, the white powdery sand and crystal clear waters are so beautiful. We saw some starfishes while we were there as well! The bar on the beach has really good Piña coladas, it was the best one I had during our whole stay. It’s really worth going off the resort you’re staying at to spend the day there, I totally recommend it and hope to go back!

What a fantastic beach day! We booked a super affordable ($5!) double-decker bus trip from our resort. It picked us up right on time and made a quick stop for souvenirs at a cute shopping center. Then, off to Playa Pilar! We did have a few other resort pickups along the way, but it wasn't a long wait.

Playa Pilar itself is paradise. Crystal-clear water, gentle waves, and warm sunshine – pure bliss! We rented lounge chairs for just $5, and there's a handy little restaurant with restrooms nearby (just be sure to bring your own toilet paper). Leaving is a breeze too – there's a schedule right on the bus, so you know exactly when it will pick you up to take you back.
