The charms of this well-known open-air café located on the bank of the Seine has attracted Renoir. He painted the famous Luncheon of the Boating Party from the house's balcony towards the end of the summer in 1880.The Fournaise Museum now holds a collection of paintings and archives on the history of the House of Fournaise and the golden age of the banks of the Seine. We had dined at the Maison Fourneaise the previous evening , picked up the pamphlet advertising the Musee , and duly arrived at 1145 asking where the entrance was . We were met by a waiter qui dire " il n'existe pas " . Mystified,...More

Dear guest, Thank you very much for your comment. Even if we try to inform the staff of the restaurants (some of them often come to visit the exhibitions), unfortunatly sometimes in summer there are new waiters who does not know much about the place......More

If you are a fan, this is worth a visit. It's interested and if I could have read the French I would have rated it higher. Reasonable priced and run by nice people.
