The place was very crowded but the people were looking everywhere but not at the tree. I bet they did not even know why they are there. It is near a mosque that was very damaged by the last year's earthquake. The tree is so...More

The tree is nothing else but...a tree :P It, however, kind of unusual as it is supported by some metal bars without which it would surely collapse. Lovely cats hang around nearby.

I wasn’t bowled over in wonder, this is a tree after all, it is impressively old though. If you are in town then add it to your route and enjoy the surroundings while you are there but if it is the only thing you want...More

There could’ve been a bit more lightening or ambiance around the tree. Apart from that it’s fascinating.

If in town worth a walk to. Not much to see but it’s meaning is powerful. It is surrounded by a metal frame, with a great little spot just down the hill under another amazing space for a drink and a cool.

It is reported that this tree is roughly 500 years old but could possibly be older. Supposedly Hippocrates used to teach under this tree. If interested in the history of Kos then I feel this must be on your list of things to see.
