Third visit after many years. like many other places in India Chandanwari is crowded now but its natural beauty is still charming specially during early winter. And the place is so easily accessible from Pahalgam town through well metaled road.

Chandanwari is the point where Amarnath yatra starts. The glacier is around one kilometer away from the base point and it is must do. You would also find locals fishing by the river. The climb is easy to moderate.
