A colleague who speaks English took me to this museum. I'm not sure if the usual guide (who's an archaeologist!) speaks English very well so I can't give an opinion on that. But he was extremely informative and knowledgeable. The museum is small but very...More

Much more than just mammoths. Hairy rhino anyone? Also the history and migrations of other local animals e.g. horses. I enjoyed it and learnt some cool new facts.

This place has a good collection of mammoth remains and pieces of information that describe the history of this region and mammoths in the region. The scientist in the museum was extremely knowledgeable. Our tour guide translated everything from Russian to English.
