Off the beaten track but well worth a visit. Beautiful location surrounded by forests, the bears looked well and cared for in large enclosures. There was a small cafe serving hot and cold drinks and exceptionally clean toilets. I bought a lovely handmade wooden bear...More

These are the happiest and healthiest bears I’ve ever seen in captivity. My family had a lovely time watching them up close in the picturesque countryside off the tourist trail. The volunteers are friendly. Some say the bears are more active in the afternoon but...More

This refugee place for orphaned bears is worth the trip to it. We saw 3 younger bears and 4 older bears. The guide Gloria was extremely helpful and friendly, she gave us a lot of information about the refugee camp and the bears.

Normal shoes are fine if you will be driving to the sanctuary as its quite small. However if you are walking to the sanctuary maybe wear something comfortable because the sanctuary is in the middle of the countryside.
